I teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Epistemology and Philosophy of Mind, covering foundational topics as well as applied and interdisciplinary issues. Seminars have included self-knowledge, rationality, testimony, epistemic injustice, prejudice, conspiracy theories, and cognitive biases, the latter in collaboration with colleagues from Economics. More recently, I have taught in our Master’s program in Philosophy and Computer Science, alongside students in the Master’s in Philosophy & Economics program.
My goal as an instructor and supervisor is to provide students with a solid philosophical education while fostering intellectual curiosity, critical thinking, independence, and preparation for a successful academic or professional career. In my classes, I am committed to create inclusive and welcoming environments, supporting students from diverse identity and neurological backgrounds by ensuring a safe environment for all voices, organizing workshops on diversity, and promoting accessible teaching practices. In recognition of this work, I was awarded the annual Prize for Excellence in Teaching at the University of Graz (2014).
I am happy to supervise PhD projects, particularly for students seeking funding through German or international agencies. If you are interested in pursuing doctoral research under my guidance, please get in touch to discuss potential projects.
The next PhD position in my group will open in Autumn 2026 – more information will be available soon.
